Requirements for Architecture Major Changers:[i]
- Students must have completed one semester of graded coursework at Ohio State to request a major change to pre-architecture. The minimum GPA required to change to pre-architecture is a 2.5. A major change to pre-architecture does not guarantee admission to the architecture major curriculum sequence. To be competitive for admission, we recommend a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- Successfully complete KNOW 2300 and 2310. To be competitive for admission review, we recommend grades of a B+ or higher in both courses.
- Students should complete or be making progress toward completion of Math 1118 (Math 1131 or Math 1151 are also acceptable) and Physics 1200.
Requirements for Landscape Architecture Major Changers:[ii]
- Students must have completed one semester of graded coursework at Ohio State to request a major change to pre-landscape architecture. The minimum GPA required to change to pre-landscape architecture is a 2.5, but to be competitive for admission, we recommend a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher.
- Successfully complete KNOW 2300 and 2310. To be competitive for admission review, we recommend grades of a B+ or higher in 2300 and 2310.
Requirements for City & Regional Planning Major Changers:[iii]
- Current Ohio State students who are in good academic standing can declare the City and Regional Planning major at any time.
**College of Arts & Sciences information is listed last.
Fisher College of Business
Admission to the major program in the Fisher College of Business is determined by the available enrollment capacity, size and quality of the application pool and therefore is not guaranteed.
Individual specializations are competitive; GPA requirements for each specialization will fluctuate with each applicant pool. Students who are not competitive for their first specialization choice will be considered for their alternate selection.

- Minimum Ohio State GPA of 3.10 or better
- Completion of English 1110 or any Writing and Information Literacy (WIL) GE with a grade of C or better
- Completion of Math 1131 or 1151 or equivalent and prerequisites with grades of C or better
- Completion of 26 semester hours of course work (this includes transfer credit, EM, AP, PSEO)
- Completion of a minimum of 12 semester hours of Ohio State letter-graded credit *Must be earned post-high school graduation*

Current Ohio State students on the Columbus campus must meet these requirements for admission into the College of Engineering pre-major program:
- 2.5 Ohio State GPA
- 12 hours of graded Ohio State credit (excluding terms of enrollment through post-secondary enrollment programs, such as Academy)
- Math 1172 or Math 1152; or direct equivalent transfer or EM credit for Math 1152 or higher, and
- Credit for one of the following courses: Chemistry 1210 or Chemistry 1250 or Physics 1250

- All prospective students are required to watch a video for the major they are interested in at https://u.osu.edu/hrssso/prospective-student-information/
- Upon completion of the video all students will be required to complete the mandatory "quiz." The "quiz" will summarize a few key components about our majors. https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0rFSEmvDdno30Lr
- Once the "quiz" is complete, students will be able to call the Student Services Office at 614-292-1706 to schedule a mandatory appointment with an Academic Advisor.
