Know if you are interested in Professional Programs.
Many students indicate an interest in careers in Law or the Medical Professions like Doctor, Physical Therapist etc. These professions require further schooling after completion of an undergraduate degree. Ohio State does not have "Pre-Law, Pre-Med, Pre-PT or Pre-Dent" majors. Students are expected to pick an undergraduate degree that either includes the pre-requisite coursework needed to apply to professional programs or to pick a major that will allow them to add the pre-requisite coursework to their major curriculum. The student's academic advisor will assist the student in understanding the requisites needed for these professional programs and how to add them to the major curriculum.
